The IC design and embedded software firm opens up new avenues by complying with the government regulation
January 10, 2012 – San Diego, CA – Encore Semi announced today that the company has completed putting in place a series of policies and procedures to ensure that the company abide by government regulations regarding the manufacture and export of Defense related items in compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) . Encore Semi LLC has subsequently applied for ITAR registration.
ITAR is a set of United States government regulations designed to control the information and materials of military related technologies. ITAR ensures that military technologies are only shared with United States nationals and persons with special exemption from the Department of State. Upon verification of a company’s ITAR compliance, an ITAR Registration Code is assigned and which allows the company to work in conjunction with the US military and its counterparts. Additionally, ITAR registration expresses the company’s obligation to handle ITAR protected products while abiding to all ITAR regulations.
